DETERMINATION, PASSION FOR WINE-MAKING AND APPETITE FOR EXPERIMENTATION
Vin de la Neu is a hitherto untried project with regard to both the territory where it has been implemented as well as the chosen varietal. Its first vineyard has been planted in the region of Trentino, municipality of Còredo, in the heart of Val di Non on parcel 209, in an area until now better known for its apple orchards.
The chosen variety: Johanniter, a hybrid with Riesling and Pinot Grigio genes, naturally resistant against the main fungal vine-diseases. The aim is to obtain an original, high quality wine, which respects the Dolomite territory as well as the environment.

High quality grapes were the aim when the vineyard was planted. The high planting density makes it possible to reduce the number of bunches on each plant to a minimum and thus allow them to mature more easily despite elevation and latitude. The fan shape has been chosen as vine training system to let the vines develop without undue effort. Clone is Fr 340. According to soil type two different rootstocks were employed: the slightly more vigorous Kober 5BB on the weaker soil and 125 AA on the lower part of the lot.
Essential factor in the choice of training has been attention to the territory, e.g. the stakes are untreated larch. Larch does naturally belong to the woods in this area and its local availability reduces the environmental impact (transport).
No anticryptogamic and herbicidal treatments and only manual, no motorized work processes in the vineyard.
