Canals & Munné

The quality and personality of Canals & Munné products form part of a family tradition passed down from generation to generation since the company’s origins in 1915.

The production of our "cavas" has been characterised by the pursuit of excellence and specialisation in the product. This excellence begins with the exclusive location of the vineyards and continues with the blending of the different varieties of the base wines to produce each of our cavas: the local Xarello, Parellada and Macabeo, as well as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The ageing of our cavas takes place exclusively in the bottle, with its lees after the second fermentation, for a period of 20 to 60 months. The whole production of Canals & Munné is qualified by the Cava DO as "Reserva" o "Gran Reserva", and bottles are marked with its vintage year and disgorgement date.

The commitment of the Canals & Munné family with the tradition includes the preservation of the artisanal production. In fact, we still undertake manually the riddling, disgorgement, closing and labelling of our highest-end cava.

Although we elaborate currently at our modern facilities, we keep the original "caves" located at the centre of Sant Sadurní, where we run a restaurant and offer a menu made from seasonal local products paired with our cavas.
