Founded in 1964, the historic headquarters of the Benincasa Winery is located in Capro, in the municipality of Bevagna. The hectares planted with vineyards lie on the gentle and sunny hills of Bevagna, in the heart of the prestigious wine-growing area of Montefalco, the land of origin of the now well-known and prestigious Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG wine.
Right here the founder Domenico Benincasa began the pioneering work of the modern cultivation of the Sagrantino grape. The Benincasa Winery is in fact the first winery registered in the Sagrantino register.
