Cantine Guidi 1929

The Guidi family has known how to take advantage of its passion and ex¬perience gained throughout the years in the wine-making sector in order to offer today all of Tuscany’s best.
The Guidi winery was founded back in 1929, when it already showed that distinctive nature, in other words the traits of a family-run business, which is still its distinguishing mark, with a longstanding know-how that has been handed down, generation after generation, from father to son. Today, the experience of the fathers is joined by the innovative creativity of their offspring: a winning mix that has led the Guidi winery to renew itself, year after year, and to present today a line of wines that are the expression of the Tuscan territory, cared for down to the smallest details. From the hills of the Chianti Classico and of San Gimignano, distinctive and refined wines, made by expert hands and characterized by a great focus on the search for the best quality.
All of the wines are the expression of the family’s thought and taste and are characterized by elegance, drinkability, freshness, clean nature and re¬spect for local traditions.
At present, the winery operates through its historical and administrative head office located in Poggibonsi and through its two production units, the “Tenuta il Castagnolo” in San Gimignano and the “Tenuta lo Spadaio” in Barberino Val d’Elsa. Together, the two production units cover about 35 hectares of vineyards, growing mainly autochthonous grape varieties such as Sangiovese and Vernaccia di San Gimignano as well as international ones such as Merlot and Chardonnay. Today, the family wants to spread its own style and name and that of Tuscany and Italy all over the world, because loving wine has always meant sharing it, with everyone.
