Capinera

Our property is located in Morrovalle, a small medieval village in the heart of the Marche region, in Italy.
Between the Sibillini mountains and the Adriatic Sea we found an ideal terroir in the cultivation of vines.

The property has always belonged to the family, consists of about 40 hectares of land well exposed to the south, facing Chienti River’s Valley, with a slight slope that allows to easily work the land.

The soil is of medium mixture mainly clayey with good presence of limestone. These conditions are favorable for the cultivation of vines, olives and herbaceous crops.

Vineyard fertilization is done with natural fertilizers.

All operations are handmade, from dry and green pruning, until the harvest. The harvest aims to harvest healthy and well-ripened grapes by walking through the vineyard at least twice and collect the fruit in the best conditions of maturation.
The harvested grapes are immediately taken to the cellar and vinified according to the type of wine to be obtained: fresh collecting them for the production of young wines and ripe for wines aged in wood.

The cultivated varieties are both native (Maceratino/Ribona, Sangiovese, Montepulciano) and international (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon).
Ours vineyards are considered for production of DOC wines of the province of Macerata.
The planting pattern ranges from 3x2 3x1 mt. to the old vineyard of the youngest vineyard.

Morrovalle, the small medieval village where our winery is located has been recognized as a city of wine and we can proudly say that we are the only winery in the entire town of Morrovalle.
