Dosterras

In 2004, Ibarra’s family, wine lovers thanks to its patriarch and grandfather Francisco Ibarra, joined the wine world in Mexico, creating a winery with a production of 6.000 bottles per year for friends and family in Tequisquiapan, Queretaro with the dream to enjoy its own harvest in special dates.

The winery’s name is Sta Rosa Xajay and is located in a typical Mexican farmhouse in the village of Sta Rosa Xajay in Tequisquiapan, Queretaro, 2 hours from Mexico city and 15 minutes from Freixenet.

In 2012, the oldest grandson, Fernando Grajales Ibarra, who shares this love for wine with his grandfather, decides to start this adventure and invests in the prestigious wine region of Priorat, buying in 2013 the winery Dosterras, that since 2003 was in charge from Josep Grau, winemaker and winery’s owner.

Quality wines in a boutique winery, always taking care till the last detail is what we search. We take what the terroir offers to convert it in memories with friends, family and people we love is our philo-sophy.

What we pretend with this project is that Dosterras revives. This is why, we create Dosterras Nai-xement, a limited edition of 1000 bottles per year accompanied by the artwork of Eduardo Recife (Brazilian illustrator), who year after year, reflects in the label what happens during the harvest in the terroir, at the winery and in the lives from those who work there.
