Icario is in Montepulciano, a corner that still maintains its authentic nature and uncontaminated beauty. 
The estate stretches over 51 ha, 25 of these are vineyards in an amphitheatre layout surrounding the winery, at an altitude of 450 m.

Listed among the best wineries of the area, Icario produces high quality DOC and DOCG wines. Our highlight is the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG red wine,  one of Tuscany's most renowned red wines and first DOCG wine to appear on the Italian market. 

We use precision viticulture, which calls for: the drastic reduction of chemical agents, both in terms of quantity and frequency of use, leaf thinning of vines to favor air circulation and reduce the onset of disease, constant monitoring of plant water levels.

The cellar is perfectly integrated into the landscape; the building was designed by Studio Valle architects, with the aim of keeping mechanical assistance to a minimum.

We offer our guests wine tastings, cellar tours, lunches and aperitifs with local products. Nestled in our property there is also Villa Icario, a luxury restored rural mansion with a breathtaking view on Valdichiana valley. Guests can enjoy the infinity swimming pool overlooking our vineyards.
