Maeli

The Maeli winery is located in the heart of the Euganean Hills Regional Park, in northern Italy close to Venice.
We pride ourselves of growing autochthonous grapes of these area. Our main focus is "Fior D'Arancio" that is the local name for Yellow Muscat grape (Moscato Giallo).
We make five versions out of this grape: sweet sparkling Fior D'Arancio, dry still "Bianco Infinito", raisin wine "Diloro", sparkling classic method "Dilà", and finally "Dilì", produced with second refermentation in bottle with ancestral method. All of these versions are made out of 100% Yellow Muscat grape.
The main feature in our wines is the extraordinary salty-mineral imprint given to them by the ancient volcanic origin of the soil, composed of layers of marl and silt.

On the part of our vineyards located on the trachytic soil we grow our red grapes, mainly Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere.
By blending these grapes we produce our dry, still, powerful "Rosso Infinito" , and our riserva "D+" aged 24 months in oak barrels.
Since 2018 we've been producing a sparkling Rosè "Dilante", that features rare ancient autochthonous grapes: Corbina nera, Marzemina Bianca, Pattaresca, Vernazzola and Marzemina Bastarda.

The enchanting landscape of the Euganean Hills is rich in biodiversity and flora, such as olive groves, prickly pears, brambles of roses , gorse and wild blackberry plants.
This is why the young entrepreneur Elisa Dilavanzo chose to privilege an organic approach to farming, thanks to which the wines express their unique multifaceted identity and have been awarded worlwide.
