Pedemontis

Pedemontis is a family business, a mixed crop farm where forest and truffle fields, vineyards and hazelnut groves, agriculture and animals breathe as one.
Pedemontis tends to over 43 hectares of forests and vineyards on the hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, plus other 180 hectares of woodland and meadows on the ridges of the Apennines on Piemonte’s southern border. Marginal areas often saved from abandonment and patiently bought back to life to promote a project based on sustainable agriculture.
Pedemontis produces oxygen and breaths the clean air of its forests, leaving no carbon footprint. Each year 7,150 tons of oxygen are reintroduced into the atmosphere while 104 tons of carbon dioxide are extracted.
In this context 13 hectares of own vineyards are cultivated: Barbera, Nebbiolo, Arneis and Favorita.
A team of thirty donkeys contribute to the management of our land, roaming freely between the vineyards and the woods, feeding on the wild grass and helping the undergrowth clean.
