Riesling loves the Saar, we love Riesling.   
The Lauer family has been in the wine business since the 1830s. 
Our vineyards are located on steep slopes around the village of Ayl in the Saarvalley ( Region MOSEL) 
Riesling is the only grape produced in the Lauer vineyards. 
Our wines mirror the exposure to sunlight, the different elements in the soil, devonian slate stones the cool wind and the aromaticity of wild yeasts. 
Riesling grape’s enormous potential can be ecperienced by one of the most elegant white wines in the world. 

During the vinification process, an extended long yeast extraction takes place in old 1000 litre oak barrels (‘barrel N°’).  These barrel numbers can be found on the labels.
