Searching for a wine, we ended up finding an incredible love!

More than a desire, a destiny that is intertwined with our family and this unique and special land that is our home: the Lunigiana. Mirta Fedespina, Antonio Farina with their son Matteo, owners of the farm and wine lovers, have shown, over the years, that upper Tuscany has the credentials to produce quality and prestigious wines, in the best tradition of Tuscan reds , safeguarding the territorial specificity, without homologations with wines produced in other regions.
The Podere Fedespina vineyards are located in the Tuscan Apennines, 250 meters above sea level and enjoy a sun exposure and an ideal climate for viticulture with personality. They are conducted in a natural way, without the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, clarifications and filtrations. Yields are low, we select healthy and rich bunches and we create wines with a minimum level of sulphites, structure, elegance, finesse and freshness. We consider our vineyard a garden and as such we take care of it to a minimum and only manual care with the utmost respect for the environment. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand in small crates only in the morning in order to bring it to the cellar (where it is further selected) at a low temperature so as not to affect its aromas. In the cellar we have the same respectful attitude that we have in the vineyard. The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed so that part of the berries go whole inside the concrete barrel. The soft pressing is followed by equally soft reassembly and down in order to extract only the most noble part of the tannins.
We use the concrete barrel for the fermentation of our wines because we consider it ideal for its insulating and hygienic capacities.
Particular attention is paid to the choice of barrique wood from which we seek stability and not flavor. We use 300 liter barrels of French wood with different aging. The cask is chosen according to the characteristics of the wine and not the other way around. The low use of sulfur dioxide reaches the bottle. This is because we want our wines, as well as good, digestible and healthy, by imposing continuous attention in following their evolution and keeping them in the best hygienic conditions so that their moderate use is a source, as well as pleasure, of physical and mental well-being .
Our wines are produced from native grapes such as Ciliegiolo, Vermentino Nero, Durella and Vermentino and from prestigious international wines such as Chardonnay, Merlot and Pinot Noir. The latter comes from vines over 40 years old.
