Vantorosso

Vantorosso was born from the meeting between Vanni Pasquali, a successful racing driver, and Franco Allegrini, a lifelong friend and great producer of Valpolicella wine.
Franco is the Maestro, owner of Allegrini Estates.

Vanni is a driver and car tester. A champion of the races.
His history is a path of success, made of perseverance and ambition.
The same that he transferred to the Vantorosso wine project.

"After a race with my friend Franco on the hills of Montalcino, I looked around and said how much I liked the vineyards and soft hills of Tuscany.
And he replied: "You too can cultivate your land and make your own wine."
I immediately thought of the farmhouse in the Fumane valley, in Valpolicella Classica, surrounded by uncultivated forest and enlightened by the sun.
It would have been my new challenge.”

He redevelops the land and plants new vineyards, settles in Villa Venini, which was owned, at the end of the 19th century, by the great wine entrepreneur Cesare Trezza, takes over other vineyards.

“The relationship between man and vineyard is very different from that of the driver with the car. I understood that one must respect the times of nature, that the helm is not only in the hands of man. Patience, sensitivity and observation skills are needed. Humility, application and constancy. I may not be the most experienced winemaker, but I have clearly in mind the wine I want to make. "

«The name Vantorosso is a reference to the passion and relation to a famous Italian car manufacturer. Certainly not because I pride myself on merit or special skills. “Vanto” in the sense of dream and challenge, of ambition to do well, of the desire for this project to continue beyond those who started it. The only "pride" that I would like is to have given my father's land a new life."
