The winery Peter Sölva & Söhne is one of the oldest wine-growing businesses in Caldaro. We are a family business, which has been passed on from father to son for hundreds of years.
 The native grapes Gewürztraminer, Vernasch, Pinot noir and Lagern are the South Tyrol classics. 
De Silva stands for the selection of the best grape qualities and the care of the soil in which 
the old wines are deeply rooted. The origin and character of our vineyards make the difference. Selected grape qualities from the vineyards in Oltraadige and Bassa Atesina are the authentic expression for that microzone. These wines emphasize the versatile areas of South Tyrol. Only a wine with a pedigree and character, without alterations and with its rough edges, makes the work so fascinating and so does opening a wine - after the appropriate storage time in the cellar in stainless steel (particularly white wines) and then in wooden casks (particularly red wines) and, of course, in the bottle - which reflects everything which happens in a year from winter to the grape harvest and which has then, through care and refinement, been brought to perfection in the cellar.
