The grapes for our Barbera d'Alba come from Canale and Vezza d’Alba.
Manual harvest. Destemming and crushing with soft pressing. Fermentation on skins with daily must pumping. 24-month min. Ageing, 30% in barriques and 70% in large oak barrels and 6-month min. ageing in bottles.
Leoparòdi Barbera d'Alba has a strong purple red colour.
With the nose you can smell cherry, flowery bouquet and red forest fruit. You can also feel violet and humus.
To the taste you can feel it warm and balanced with tannins to convey softness.
