Description
This wine is composed of 90% grenache noir and 10% Syrah. Its soil is clay-limestone with rolled pebbles and safre (a soft sandstone found in the southern Rhône Valley).
This Châteauneuf-du-Pape has a superb red colour with hints of purple. Very fragrant, as soon as you swirl the wine in your glass, it gives off notes of coffee, mocha, violet, blackberry, blackcurrant and a touch of cinnamon. It is a wine endowed with a beautiful generous composition which will mellow with time. Flavours of kirsch, dark chocolate, candied fruit, with notes of flint and oak on the palate.
Vintage 2017 is fruitier and shows a stronger personality than other Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
A distinguished wine with very good ageing potential, elegant and powerful.
