Chateau Demonpere 2019 Cuvee Prestige Red is a wine that presents a deep red color with notes of blackberry, morello cherry, black pepper, and cocoa.
The mouth-feel of this wine is intense with strong tannins and fruity undertones. The onset of blackberry and cherry unveil the spicy flavors of minty cocoa and black pepper which create wonderful body and a nice woody finish. The Cabernet Sauvignon in this wine offers beautifully assembled complexity that unveils only the fourth harvest of this grape variety in the Terroir combining nicely with the Syrah which is at the forefront of this blend.
This is a red wine which can be easily appreciated with red meat, cheeses, red sauce dishes, and chocolate desserts.
