Egoiste is made from garnacha grapes from the top of the river Najerilla in La Rioja.
The soil of these vineyards were kept dry and are 40 to 60 years old.
We fermented the grapes in a stainless steel tank at a controlled temperatura for 7 days. We used a soft racking and a low filtration method to maintain the quality of the wine and then stored it for 5 months before we bottled it.
In the glass this wine presents a beautiful cherry red colour with blue hues and a dense, abundant tear. The freshness of its aroma intoxicates our senses with notes of red fruit on a menthol background. In the mouth we can enjoy an almost perfect transition from the initial acidic taste through to a mellow and soft settling flavour. You can appreciate the sweet tannin´s contribution to the excellent maturity of the wine in the aftertaste. Altogether it is a fresh, structured and varietal wine.
