Vintage: 2018 was THE red wine of the year! Colour, tannin, fruit everything is abundant and distinguishes the red wines for this year.
Vines: 100 % Saint Laurent
Region: Nierstein, Rosenberg, red sandstone, 7 year old vines.
Vinification: Juice extract of 20% then mash fermentation in vats a 800 l for 18 days, storage and maturation for 12 months in Barriques. 1/4 second occupancy and 3/4 used wood. Bottled unfiltered.
Description: Deep dark colour, seductive scent of blueberry jam and white pepper, delicate smoky notes and a longer finish with lots of spicy enamel.
Drinking maturity: From May 2020 storage through to autumn 2028
Suggestion: BBQ with Beef Steak, butter with mixed herbs or pepper sauce.
