PIANALTI IGT TOSCANA Sangiovese - Colorino del Valdarno - Malvasia Nera
It is a wine particularly linked to the territory from which it takes its name: the Pianalti of Valdarno, an ancient land at the foot of the southern slope of Pratomagno. This is the bottom of the ancient Pliocene lake that was here over two million years ago, where some native grapes wisely express the strength of the terroir.
The grapes are harvested by hand in October after a very light crushing, they are placed in old brick barrels, fermentation takes place on their own yeasts and tannins, then for 12 months the wine rests in wood.
Tasting Notes: Pianalti stands out for its peculiar organoleptic characteristics that give typicality, intensity, concordance and balance, giving the taster the sensation of "immersion in time". Thanks to its versatility it can be enjoyed throughout the meal.
