About the wine estate

Salento IGP Bianco Moscato

Description
Wine obtained from Moscato grapes, left on the wine to gain more sugar and complexity. Half of the amount of this wine spends about 6 months in oak and that is why the colour tends more to an orange than to a yellow. Moscato is the most complex and generous wine when it comes to aromas and trying to recognize all f the smells in Leucòs is a really fun game. The most recognizable are: litchie, jasmine, ciders, honey, bread crust, must, rose and many more. What else can you find?
It is a sweet wine, with a taste that envelopes the mouth with its smoothness and a right acidity.
These characteristics make the wine perfect for many combinations of food. It was actually created to be paired with Pasticciotto, the traditional pastry of Lecce. That is why it's recommended with biscuit cakes and not with sponge cakes. It is also very good with dark chocolate, marmelades, jams and a combination of the previous with semi-aged cheese. Despite the sweetness, it is very good with seafood risotto.
