Our vineyards are located at an altitude of almost 900 m. above sea level. Soils full of gravel, boulders. Too poor. Deep, with subsoil formed by soft rocks (limestone loams or disaggregated limestone penetrable by the root). Our climate is harsh. Long and dry winters, spring frosts (sometimes until early June) and short, dry and hot summers, with very large temperature variations (30ºC at noon, 3ºC in the early morning)
The 2009 vintage was an excellent vintage. Perfect maturation. We harvest between October 5 and 10, 2009. 100% Tempranillo from vineyards of almost 100 years. Picked by hand and transported to the winery in boxes of about 12 kg. After destemming, cold maceration (skins-must) and controlling the temperature for alcoholic fermentation. After about 20 days, we discover and undergo malolactic fermentation in 500 L French oak barrels. Oncbarrels (100%). Indicate e it is finished, we pass the wine to the oak barrels where it will remain for 18 months.
