AREA PRODUCTION: D.O. Rueda
The grapes we use to make Varron are selected from our Rueda and Nava del Rey vineyards.
These vineyards are cultivated using organic farming techniques and they are audited and certified by the Castilla y León Organic Agriculture Council.
The treatments used on the vines are natural in origin. Weeds are controlled using tillage techniques, thereby eliminating the need for herbicides.
The grape harvest_took place at the beginnig of September 2019.
The harvest was manually done selecting the best grapes and then they were chilled before pressing.
The must_ fermented in concrete tanks. When fermentation has finalised it has been transferred with its fine lees to french oak barrels (capacity: 600 lts).
