Verdicchio di Matelica DOC Terra di Mezzo
Vinification process : The clusters are hand-harvesed and then gently pressed, without use of SO2. The must is femented in steel for 12-15 day at a controlled tempeature of ca. 20°C. The wine then rests on the fine lees in steel for 4 years
Sensory profile: The very high quality of the growing year allowed us to select small lots from both current-vintage Verdicchio as well as the Riserva, and the final blend was given a very lengthy maturation in steel in order to improve the wine’s cellarability, well before release.
Cellaring potential : 10 years, with a potential for significant additional complexity
