The winery was founded in 2000 in order to save the vineyards that surround our family home from being sold, those which were purchased by my grandfather Generoso in the 60’s. For decades the 6 hectares of vines located 600 meters above the sea at the foot of Mount Vulture (a dormant but not yet extinct Volcano) were cultivated for the sole purpose of selling the grapes on the local market and beyond, to northern Italy. Selling the vineyards seemed the most logical solution as my dreams took me far from my native home, elsewhere in the world to seek my fortune. But my heart sank at the thought of the sacrificies my family made being sold off, so I utterly changed my plans. Concurrent with my studies at the University of Pisa in Oenology and Viticulture a new project was launched, one that would invest in our territory, staking everything on a single wine, TITOLO, imagining this wine as a first class “cru” to best represent the characteristics of Aglianico and the unique terroir and microclimate of our area.

Dai vigneti acquistati negli anni ’60 da mio nonno Generoso, l’azienda è stata fondata nell’anno 2000 per salvare dalla vendita i bellissimi vigneti di proprietà che circondano l’abitazione di famiglia. Le vigne poste a 600 metri di altitudine ai piedi del Monte Vulture (un Vulcano dormiente, ma geologicamente ancora non spento) per decenni i 6 ettari di Aglianico del Vulture furono coltivati con il solo scopo finale della vendita delle uve sul mercato regionale e anche oltre. La vendita dei vigneti sembrava la soluzione più facile, i miei sogni mi vedevano lontana dal paese natio, nel mondo a cercar fortuna. Un tuffo al cuore però mi fece stravolgere i piani della mia vita; i sacrifici e gli sforzi della mia famiglia non potevano essere vanificati così facilmente. Parallelamente ai miei studi universitari in Viticoltura ed Enologia a Pisa, prese forma il progetto di investire sul nostro territorio, puntando tutto su di un unico vino il TITOLO
immaginandolo fin da subito come un vino da seria A, un cru per rappresentare al meglio le caratteristiche dell’Aglianico che in questa zona offrono un terroir e un microclima unico.
