Family winery Berta 1842

The cellar has been founded for 177 years, since 1842. Actually, it is run by Paolo Berta and who is helping his wife Ksenia. The Berta winery, located on the border of two famous grape growing regions: the Monferrato and Langhe, has been a family-run winemaker for seven-generations.
From the vineyards, located in viticultural areas, the beautiful surrounding landscape may also be enjoyed, stretching across to the hill of San Michele in the form of a natural amphitheatre continuously exposed to the sun.
Vineyards are owned (10Ha) and are located in the vicinity of the cellar (100m); Thanks to the diverse characteristics of the soil, various varieties of grape can be grown: the red Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Brachetto and white Cortese and Moscato.
For ageing, we use steel tanks, as well as French barriques, but some wines are aged in large barrels that have a long history.
During work with red wines we use a very delicate filtration, all red wines could be called Vegan wines.
Since the NizzaDOCG category was recognized, the wines of the winery often participate in competitions and various tastings.
We offer you an advantageous collaboration, which will allow you to expand your offer of a unique collection of Nizza Monferrato wines. www.viniberta.com
