Bodegas Marta Maté was founded in 2013, as a team we have been working together on our enology and viticultural project for the past fifteen years, planting and developing our vineyards. Starting from 2008 we have been making small quantities of speciality wines. 
The wine cellar is part of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, and is located in Tubilla de Lago, Burgos – the North East region of the Ribera del Duero. 
The name Tubilla comes from the latin term ´tuillan´ which means limestone rock.

Our vineyards are in Gumiel del Mercado (one of the most highly rated vineyard areas in the Ribera) and in Tubilla del Lago, the location of our wine cellar. 
The vines in Tubilla are our oldest vines, up to a hundred years old and planted goblet style on the paramo, made up of limestone rock layers, through which the roots of the vines snake to find sustenance. 
The vineyards are all organic certified, and in one plot the vines are cared for using the biodynamic methods.
Our philosophy revolves around respect for nature, sustainability and promoting biodiversity.
