The Fontemorsi winery is located in Montescudaio (Pisa) on the hills between the Etruscan coast and Volterra in an area which has a secular tradition in wine production. Our soils are rich in fossils and constantly ventilated allowing production using only traditional techniques. As a consequence Fontemorsi in the past  years has adopted an organic approach to production (reg. Cee 2092/91) under the supervision of the Italian Experimental Station for Sustainable Viticulture , organically certified by ICEA (istituto  per la certificazione  Etica ed Ambientale)
Our main grape is Sangiovese assembled on its own in our Volterrano and Tresassi Rosato  and together with Merlot in the Spazzavento and Cabernet Sauvignon in the Guadipiani and Le Tinte . Our white Tresassi Bianco is produced using Viognier and Chardonnay. Our wines have been reviewed by the most important Italian wine guides who have consistently rated our wines as excellent.Fontemorsi also produces and excellent olive oil organically certified.
