The 2016 Barolo from the Cantina Comunale di Castiglione Falletto has a pleasing aroma of violets, supple red fruits, black cherries and soft asian spices, which perfumes both the nose and palate. The palate is very harmonious and smooth, with elegant tannins and a long, rewarding finish. This generous Barolo is excellent value for money, from one of the best vintages of the decade.
