Producing wine for us has become a life choice.  After many experiences we realized that our real treasure was our land. We are in Valdarno Superiore, in the heart of Tuscany, between Arezzo and Florence, an ancient Etruscan land enclosed between the Chianti Mountains and the Pratomagno Massif. Our vineyards extend south of Pratomagno and enjoy ideal climatic conditions for the ripening of the grapes, with cool temperatures during budding and warm at veraison, with abundant rainfall in spring and temperature changes between day and night. 
An intense luminosity envelops them all year round and the prevailing southwesterly winds facilitate transpiration, pollination and ripening of the grapes. Our territory is a Pliocene plateau formed at the foot of the Pratomagno, the structure of the soil varies greatly from loamy clay soils to medium texture soils, but with a common connotation given by the high components of quartz and iron oxide that contribute to give the wines a recognizable characteristic of minerality. 
A very precious substance of our soils is humus, the organic component of the agricultural soil, which derives from the processes of maturation and decomposition of the organic substance. The humus stimulated by biodynamic practice, gives fertility to the soil, better retains water and nutrients, defends soils from erosion and helps to strengthen plants from adversity. Today our farm produces the indispensable elements it needs, a biodiversified natural organism where inside it also produces fodder for animals and compost for the soil. The farm extends for about 15 hectares, of which only four are used for viticulture, the rest are pastures, arable crops, woods and other products.
Our winery built at the end of the nineteenth century is located in the medieval town of Campogialli, from our brick and wooden barrels are born the handmade wines of Pian del Pino obtained without the use of oenological preparations or invasive practices, faithful ambassadors of our territory in respect of naturalness.
