Manaresi

Manaresi lies on the top of Bella Vista hill, in the heart of Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG wine region. The 11 hectares vineyards surround the wine estate centre at 270 degrees, like a belvedere on the plain and Bologna. The winery has been named after Paolo Manaresi (1908-1991), prominent painter and etcher, and is currently run by Donatella Agostoni (Paolo Manaresi’s granddaughter) and Fabio Bottonelli.
The soil is mainly clay-loam.
The winery lies underground on the lower level of a rural complex, whose 100 years old part has not been changed and has up to date technology that respects grapes: the goal is to obtain crisp and elegant wines. All hand picked in small crates, grapes are softly worked, through low impact agriculture (organic) and wine making processes.
