which is within the family of other Libournais wines such as Saint Emilion and Pomerol only 5 miles away .
35 years old Merlot grapes within an enclosed site surrounding Chateau Mayne- Vieil itself.
Very traditional wine -making and partly aged in barrels.
 "Ripe nose .Tanins support blackberry fruits and the perfume acidity,adding an attractive touch of smokiness .
