Salice Salentino Rosso DOP
Red wine obtained with a blend of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera di Lecce, in the percentage of 85% and 15%.
This blending creates an intense red colour, with nuances of purple. The nose expresses a beautiful bouquet, thanks to Malvasia Nera, full of ripe red fruits, tobacco, cocoa, coffee, licorice, hints of leather and an amazing aroma of chocolate. The taste is harmonious, full-bodied and with a sweet feeling given by Malvasia Nera, though slightly bitter and tannic due to Negroamaro. It is also rightly acid and this makes this wine perfect for spicy foods, semi-aged cheese, cured meat, flavoured first courses and meat-based second courses.
This wine spends around 5 months in old American oak to get more fine.
Best served at 18°C.
